    Drum'n'Bass 2013 (???)

Few cracking tunes on this Loxy mix from the 10 years of Exit night at Sun & Bass. Getting rid of 80% the snares and taking out all the silly noises has really done wonders for modern DnB IMO... Nice to hear dancehall influences really reasserting themselves too...

    Drum'n'Bass 2013 (???)

Had very high hopes for Rockwell until he signed that exclusivity deal with Shogun Audio but his recent stuff is just dreadful by and large, can't get my head around the stuff he's making nowadays at all, massive shame because at one stage he was promising to be one of the most interesting DnB...

    Drumstep

Yes, but only mildly. As I understand it the word "drumstep" only really came about when the screechy jumpup crowd started to feel threatened by screechy dubstep and wanted a word to put on flyers that sounded a bit like dubstep in the hope that playing stuff that as basically slightly faster...

    150-160 bpm-ish stuff - whatchamacallit

Plenty of heads starting to take footworky influences to teh 160-170 range at the moment, have a few lovely bits in my AIM folder from a young kid call Tim Reaper; Fracture and Stray are on this sort of thing recently... this is from last summer

    Drumstep

can't stand the term drumstep tbh, basically invented by new school jumpup dnb heads who've seen their crowds decimated by the emergence of brostep. loads of savage half time dnb around though... that calibre "steptoe" tune that was posted already does phenomenal things on a loud system...
