any recommendations? Mainly I just need something for scanning, cropping, resizing etc. Perhaps a bit of manipulating colours, brightness, contrast. Maybe filters and general weirdness but that isn't essential.

Something about either the latest version of firefox (3.5.2) or wordpress (2.8.4) turns all my images completely black. Here for example: http://www.uncarved.org/blog/2009/08/non-fiction-of-the-fifties-and-sixties/ It seems fine in explorer (on a pc) and Safari (on a mac). Is that just me...
