    Blowing Up The Workshop

Might as well stick this up here. Blowing Up The Workshop is an ongoing project i'm running built up of mixtapes, commissioned work or archived performance- the intention being to incorporate a little more personality and idiosyncrasy into a medium that's quite often just treated as a PR...

& in terms of primal outpourings John Olsen's 'Henry & Hazel Slaughter' outfit is fun, if a little uncoordinated/basic at times.

I liked his Hundebiss EP but wasn't a fan of that one.

Super excited for the next few Pan releases too. Jar Moff LP is really excellent, and no doubt the Helm EP will be too. I think Jefre Cantu-Ledesma and the Mohammad trio are supposed to have stuff coming too, so expecting some nice thick drone.

VS definitely needs to be filed away at this point in a similar manner to Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement. Opal's doing cool stuff next year, including a team-up with my little mixtape project for a series of split releases -...

One of the other things about Splazsh and Hazyville was that I had a different favourite song from it every other day, whilst I've never experienced that with R.I.P

Ah, I'd forgotten about this. I come from the opposite angle in regards to it though. I think the joy of his other albums is how open-ended they are for interpretation- Splazsh and Hazyville both bounce about all over the place in terms of cribbed genres and theme. I felt like R.I.P was too...

That 6 minute twinkly Jardin track just kills any enjoyment I have with R.I.P. I'd just much rather listen to Splazsh whenever I want to listen to Actress.

    Blackest Ever Black

From what I can tell Fernow has always woven sixth form politics controversiality into his stuff, it's one of the things that turns me off Hospital Productions a bit. I mean what is this? :slanted: and pressing a record edition in 911?
