    Invent Neo-Con strategies

AH yeah! That's the one. I love him, he's welcoming the apocalypse with arms wide open. Nobody else wants it like him. I imagine him sipping lemonade on his deck with a big smile watching the mushroom clouds on the horizon, maybe a tear rolling down his cheek. "Thank You Jesus, I'm coming...

    Thinking

I've always got a bunch of stuff that needs working out so I start just going over things if my brain figures it's not really needed for the time being. I keep picturing things that don't happen too, I've always done that since I was a kid, imagining the train de-railing, getting shot suddenly...

Do you get Dr. Jack Van Impe in Australia?

    Thinking

I talk to myself too. It usually slips out all of a sudden and then I realise how far I was gone into my imagination. It's not a big deal or particularily bad unless you are on the subway or something, although I think anytime you are caught doing it people are going to question how solid your...

    Ghostbusters

"All right, who brought the dog?" Yeah! ...but What about Murray's Groundhog Day or Scrooged for best x-mas flick? And Gremlins 2 over Ghostbusters for best film of all time for the old monkey wrench twist...or maybe The Stupids with Tom [I'm My Own Grandpa] Arnold? What about the great...

YEah they're great. I love how they thrive on neglect. I wish everything in my life was like that.

"Other ideas included chemical weapons that attract swarms of enraged wasps or angry rats to troop positions, making them uninhabitable." Maybe war will just mutate into pure comedy.

    The Boredoms

Ah yeah! Now I got the pic posting down, here's the UFO or Die cover I thought you'ld be into Matt. It's not technically Boredoms stuff but it's in the same spirit. I remember reading him say that UFO was HIS band where Bore was a band he sang for, or something along those lines. Wish I had...

    The Boredoms

ANyone into Space Streakings at all? I was really into their album Hatsu Koi when I was more in the Bore zone. Much along the lines of earlier Boredoms but with drum machines and synths so they ended up with a sound sort of like a fun version of Ministry. Uh with loads of trumpets too.

    The Boredoms

The old ones are where they were really great. They just mash so many things into this twisted version of punk or metal or prog or whatever it was they were trying to do, not so much in a flipping around the radio dial kind of way, but they just kept throwing elements in. Now that they've...

    Black Metal

Aww man. I got obsessed with that song when I first heard it. I'm not sure what to even compare it too, the production is like Darkthrone but it's not really black metal. There's weird stuff going on in the mix all over that disc.. a weird sound.. I guess it's a synth, but it sounds like the...

    how do you hear music?

3.875th of a beat's a bit much for me to get, but I'm glad I'm generally on the right track with this. Written out it's math and I can't make sense of it but I'm sure I could understand it if I was hearing it.

    how do you hear music?

And I've never really been sure about it, but 4/4 is just the time signature of the beats right? I mean people use it to refer to kinds of beats, like a straight house beat or something compared to like a weird grime beat that hangs in some fucked up place with the snares somewhere other than...

    how do you hear music?

I dunno for the non sample based stuff, but it's pretty hard to make beats that aren't 4/4 on most things. I mean you can do it but it's a pain in the ass and in the end probably just harder to impossible for djs to mix and weird for people dancing.

    Whither Dancehall?

Yeah, the new Sizzla stuff is really strange. I thought the Lady Saw album was good too, there were a bunch of songs I was into ("I've got your man" was my favorite) and I liked all the auto tuning stuff. I don't know nearly as much about this stuff as everyone posting seems to though.

    The Move.

I keep checking these guys out because people tell me "they are so much better" everytime I talk about liking ELO but nothing's hit me yet. Tried with a solo Wood (Mustard) too but so far I'm not really feeling that either. I've still got hope, but I've not come across the song yet.
