    You're wrong, MP3 won't damage your ears any more than WAVs or analogue. The "compression" in an MP3 is not audio level adjustment from a compressor in a studio, it's data compression - like saving a picture as a JPG instead of a TIFF.     Did you fix it? If not, tell me, is the hum coming through the speakers or is it something else actually vibrating? When transformers get old they hum sometimes, can be quite loud, doesn't affect the signal path....

    Skin Biopic about Sandra Laing, a black child born to white parents in apartheid-era South Africa. Pretty straightforward but touching and shocking.

    Mesrine -l'instict de mort OK not unreservedly but a very enjoyable movie about a macho criminal who doesn't take any shit. Very reminiscent of 70s Scorcese but French. You can't take your eyes off Vincent Cassel, he is amazingly charismatic even though the character is a psycho.
