    Dubstep

No idea. I could speculate but there are prob a few who post here who know more than me. Regardless of the way it's been going the last year or so, it's always been a great resource for mixes, radio show listings, events and new releases and there isn't anywhere else around like it.

I didn't think Chelsea were the better side by a distance, although they did dominate possession in the 2nd half, especially given the number of good chances we missed in the first half. It could easily have been 3-1 to us at half time. I think we sat back too much after the goal and tried to...

Yeah me too. Shame there were so few Villareal fans there (there must have been 50 tops!). The away fans usually make the place jump. Can't wait for the Celtic home game. We just look a bit flat at the moment. We are playing ok but lacking a spark and creativity. Hopefully we'll step up against...

    Funky/London/UK House

Same here but I expected it as I had a few records in there that were on pre-release (the Donaeo and D-Malice). If in stock the service is very good in my experience. I agree about the lack of interesting rhythm in a lot of dubstep. More bongos, less midrange please.

THE POGUES - the cases for and against

The Clancy Brothers are a good reference point, I can check with my dad for any others. Love the Pogues, the scene in the Wire with the wake in the bar as they play 'The Body of an American' was fantastic.

GRIME- breaking news, gossip, slander, lies etc

Did I miss a few tunes then? There is only another (very funny) diss of Flowdan up at the moment? Must admit I agree with him on Flowdan, I find him dull and not into the Bug tunes with him at all which all sound pretty much the same to me.

    Funky/London/UK House

My historical distaste towards house (monotonous etc borne by the music I heard in cheesy meatmarkets back home on and on the radio) has changed quite a lot. I love the rhythms in a lot of these tunes and the energy and grimy influence. Been picking up a few 12s but proving to be pretty sparse...

Can't wait to see Berbatov in a red shirt, so glad I got a season ticket this year :D The Curbishley situation was inevitable, he brought in a lot of overpaid crocks and paid for it with the prudence of the board this transfer window. He's not a bad manager but he lacks something that the top...

Danger Mouse and MF Doom-Danger Doom

I'd take 10 Doom albums a year against most of the b/s that gets released these days..even on autopilot he comes off fresher and more interesting than most mc's.. Dangermouse is from the US..he lives in the UK these days as far as I'm aware, hence the confusion..prior to the Grey album and...

    Takeshi Kitano

I've liked most of the films that I've seen of his, Hana Bi being the best IMHO. Apparently there will be a Zatoichi 2 directed by and starring Kitano. I really liked the 1st one..and the ending was great, cracked me up.

    what are you reading now?

I'm reading Something Happened by Joseph Heller at the moment..It's not as entertaining as Catch 22, but some very funny moments and a good read although a little heavy going at times.. Prior to that I read Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides which was excellent..also been reading some Philip K Dick..
