Not a bad suggestion, but Airport Express doesn't have ethernet ports, which I need for printers etc. Airport Extreme does have some ethernet ports - though only 3 - and it's £139, which is a bit bit pricey. You can get an 8 port switch and a wireless access point for half that.

That's interesting. But I don't want to use vinyl to mix with ableton - well I might at some point, but what I really want is to have a control I can assign to a knob on my faderbox to spin back the current file. It can't be that hard to do. Someone's going to tell me you can already do this...

When I DJ with ableton it's very physical. but then I'm playing my stuff / dubs, and it's half live anyway with extra sections, fx etc. I've never tried serato though - quite fancy that. and you can't spinback in ableton.

Ice Rink remix is about. Two versions - one vocal, one instrumental that's basically a massive latin percussion work out. I tried to make them really generic uk funky but they've veered off a bit. Still good though. I think Paul Gilroy is expressing the widely-held critique of post-funk music...
