    i can only listen to a very small percent of contemporary hip hop..the roots are always awesome and i liked that clipse album from last year a lot and the new shape of broad minds album was pretty great as well..but yeah, generally hip hop isn't all that interesting lately

    anyone heard daxaar yet? so beautiful music, though at times i wish hebden wouldn't be involved..when he backs off i get goose-flesh. reid must by my favourite drumer, may be a daft thing to say, but i don't think there ever was another drummer being able to get this hypnotic..am i exaggerating? : )

    dubstep is as much idm as drum and bass/ jungle was 10, 12 years ago imo. you had people with idm background who found the new style intriguing and started going that way and it's same nowdays i'd say. idm made excellent ground for most electronic music today (appart from techno, house, trance)...

    gig organizors/promoters

    does anyone here have any experience with it? pros and cons? how did you get started, how long before you managed to start getting something back? im thinking about doing it, specially because i feel there's lots of interesting bands that would be willing to play here but the organizors here...
