Shuffling / House Music / Cutting Shapes

Been doing a concerted listen of every track posted so far! Not there yet but getting there. Been feeling recently that, despite the fact that there's so much good new jackin all the time that you can fill a set just with jackin, and despite the fact that jackin's got loads of different sound...

I'm pretty sure I wasn't doing anything very interesting in '92... ------ ... Actually sounds fairly tame from my skim listen, but I'll give it a more proper go over. I do love this Super Shady track though: Love the insanely uncool Eminem sample :D Also feeling this new iLL Phill & Loz...

That Renegade Master track is HEAVY. I would love to hear that on a proper system... Also had never heard the original, which led me to this:

Comin in with the mix and blend

It's true that the DJing side of things does seem to be getting less attention, ironic since the 'everyone's a DJ' explosion with laptop DJs and that. Jackin's actually a great example of that, as, apart from Marcus Nasty - who doesn't produce the stuff! - not one of them is really a top class...

Big up everyone jumping into the fray! The article got a shout on 02:31's Rinse show! As did the Brick Lane beigel shop lol. ------- I like this tune but I'm not sure if I should (could be a motto for jackin really)...

If anyone feels like hopping onto the comment section and talking about how great jackin/ the article is, I certainly won't stop you ;) Big up ya chest baboon2004! Hop on a train one of these weekends, grab a curry at curry mile and then head over to the Rainbow, you won't regret it!

Lol judging by the comments on the article it looks doubtful! The interview never recorded properly! Lots of the info wound its way into the article, but there no transcript... If you have any questions though I probably asked and can remeber the basic answers off the top of my head though...

Thanks G! I'm pretty happy with it! At Loz's request I had to cut a rather impolitic section detailing the extent and types of drug use, which he probably rightly concluded would draw too much police attention. The sub-editors also cut this little line, which was one of my favorite things I...

FUUUUUUUU THE DARKNESS IS COMING Darkside madness. Geeeeze. On a level with Dorthy's Forest on sheer twistedness: So spooky, like old darkcore or some of screama's bassline stuff. what's great about Jackin atm is how there's ton's of poppy, vocal stuff coming out, but also lots of dark...

Everyone's a DJ (MC) These days?

It looks like I'm DJing Top Shop Harajuku this saturday... Does it count as selling out if you never had a brand to sell?

Big up fam! Was it your first time to the Rainbow? I agree, it's literally the most exciting thing in the world. Such amazing vybez. It's so good I'm coming back to the UK for a couple of weeks in the summer just to make sure I don't miss it while it's still good! I wonder how long it can last...

NOUGHTIES 'NUUM POLL - Dissensus top 30 garage/grime/dubstep/funky/bassline tracks

Do You Mind is everything great about dance music. I really like this list so far! A nice range of different things, and maybe it is just the case that within the hardcore continuum, by and large the best tunes become the biggest? Predictions: Digital Mystics - Haunted. Not a prediction perhaps...
