Ok here's another couple of tracks, plus the one I put up earlier. http://soundcloud.com/amplesamples The happydaze refix is basically an instrumental that probably needs a singer. i did do a song to it, but it was rubbish, so it still needs a bit of work. these aren't mixed properly either...

Thanks mate your feedback is very encouraging. When you talk about getting published, do you mean getting a record pressed?? I'll put some more tunes out and see what you think. Where would you get hold of singers from?

As I said before, it's not mixed so the vox bits are a bit loud. I think the 'uh' sounds are from a fabolous track but I could be wrong. I did this a while ago, and I'm not at my imac, so as far as I can remember I put a tiny delay between left and right of the vox sample to make it sound...

Aww Nein. My favourite track is probably Draco out of the top three on your myspace. I like your beats, but I think you're a bit busy with the keyboard sounds for dubstep, there's not much space. What are your dubstep influences?

Want to hear my dubstep tune? Listen to it here Done loads of different types of music, but this is the second stab at dubstep.Kinda techno-influenced (2562, Martyn et al) Not really mixed cos I just wanted some feeback, but do please let me know.....

    The sacred cows

I love AFX. His first Ambient Works album got me totally turned on to electronic music - without him I wouldn't have discovered jungle, breakcore, detroit techno etc. So I'm prepared to forgive any shite stuff he might have produced (such as a lot of his Druqks record). Richard D James album...

    Music you are prejudiced against

    I'm prejudiced against: Trance I'm also against dance music by 'real' musicians. how did 4hero go from <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=""></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed...

    Ligeti

Continuum I always liked a lot of his keyboard music, being a pianist. Continuum is an amazing piece of music, similar conceptually to larger scale works like Lontano but obviously the timbre of the harpsichord is different. His piano etudes are also amazing, shifting time signatures and...

    can you sing?

there are some singers who can sound beautiful without training eg Billy Holiday. Also some singers would probably lose the 'character' of their voice if they did have vocal training eg Nick Cave, Bob Dylan, loads of pop and rock singers. The best singers are ones that practise loads though...

the (digital) hardcore continuum - no, seriously

Yeah I had that 7-inch. Used to play it at parties a lot when I was into a lot of DHR stuff. It always hit the spot! It's just so......violent. It's somewhere in my brother's loft somewhere - must dig it out.

the (digital) hardcore continuum - no, seriously

Ah I loved DHR around about 98-99!!! I went and saw ATR play for John Peel's 60th birthday, when the stage got rushed, that was a great gig. My fave was always Bomb 20 - he made some awesome beats - very much like Shizuo or EC8OR. A lot of that stuff strangely always seemed to me to bridge...

    Grand Theft Auto

Yeah I remember Bitmap Brothers. If you remember Magic Pockets, you'll remember the music was basically a Betty Boo instrumental here. As for cracks not being easy available, cracked computer games have been around far, far longer than MP3s. At school people used to use a program called...

The Wire is over - discussion, spoilers inside

I did like Adebisi - my girlfriend tells me he's in Lost, but I wouldn't know cos I don't watch that crap. My favourite characters were Karim Said, Beecher and Schillinger. Oh yeah Alvarez was good too. Poet was good too, although the more he stayed in the series, the less cool he seemed...

Good point! Can't remember how he got killed in Oz - anyone remember? Anyone seen Oz and got a favourite death?

    daily schedules and routines

I absolutely need the routine. As a school teacher, although each day is different (for example, I was told to f*** off at 8.30 this morning, and broke up a fight the day before - never two days the same!), my day starts at the same time, I eat at the same times, I pretty much sleep at the same...

Films you've seen recently and would unreservedly recommend:

Just got a dvd of a French horror film called Frontiers. It was absolutely rubbish - rip off of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Hostel (which was also crap, but the idea was pretty cool - murder as the ultimate end of capitalism). Has anyone seen any decent horror films recently? I'm not bothered...

    Duke Ellington

Caravan is my favourite choon, along with Satin Doll. I used to play a lot of his stuff in jazz bands at school. Take The A Train is another good one too. In A Sentimental Mood is good too

    Teaching

As you continue to teach, you'll start developing your own style and will use PPA time to best suit that style. I'm in my second year of teaching music (currently doing The Nuum Scheme Of Work with Year 7), and when you start on a full timetable you have to be really super-tight with how much...

Musicians you always get mixed up with other musicians
