Ok, yeah if the kick is on each beat then it would be just 4x4. Apart from 2step and half step I don't know of any other special names (in layman's terms at least).
Don't really know what you mean there.
Are you saying this: kick, snare, kick, snare ? Don't think that really has a name (2x4 maybe?? hehe)
or something else...?
halfstep = tunes with the snare (or dominant snare) on the 3rd beat so it sounds like the it's running at half tempo
EDIT: 2step = where the beat goes like this... kick, snare, (air), kick-snare . So instead of the kick being on the 3, it's shifted back half a measure to get that swing feel...
Here's a half shout.
I thought it was alright, nothing special apart from the character-on-drugs-comedy-relief
Lemur King guy. He had the best lines (hoho) by far
I like the use of "ya mum" as a retort to basically anything eg.
"I fucking hate you"
"ya mum"
the more abstract applications are best, especially to innocent statements/questions:
"what time is it?"
"ya mum o'clock"
Argh. Concert footage of this stuff gets played in almost every chinese student diner in Australia. It's like bubblegum western pop stripped of any naughtiness and irony. Production values vary but as you would expect the Cantonese ones are the slickest. They always had the music turned down...
perhaps hipsters are just locusts swarming from subculture to subculture in 7 years cycles. When they come just hide in your bunker with your precious crops and wait it out ;)
Proper beards on people who can grow them and are kept in good shape are great.
Patchy beards on teenagers, young twenty somethings and other beard-challenged types are wrong.
I did every exercise that only involved thinking and writing things down. I didn't do any of the more out there ones like going out to collect rocks and things.
My drawing ability was always a little bit above average but mostly because I spent hours doodling all over my books in high school...
