A ticket for galactic voyage. 'Space Instrument' is a drum and bass track taking you far away into epic and galactic space journey. It includes Detroit-chords with class and Dillinja-styled ruffness. The track is also versatile, which makes it well suited for home-listening as well. STREAM/BUY

^ That's so cyberpunk  If monopoly companies get more hold of internet, it might push some people back to 90s: better balance between IRL and online, personal websites, smaller web communities and relying on books/libraries for information, not just online info. Books will keep their...

    The Mimic Machine

Interesting to hear this phenomenon has been discussed back in 1800s - so nothing new here. I only recently read Retromania, and I was surprised that punk was partly from 50s rock'n'roll revival. I had always seen punk as something which couldn't care a less about past styles (although return to...

I did some 4x4 jungle experiments, where the idea was to make 4x4 completely from breakbeats, rather than from electronic drums like in jungle tekno. Below are three version of the same track, where 'techno mix' goes into monotonous techno territory.

We're in the era of algorithmic discovery, but curation might make comeback on internet. Algorithms misses some of the good stuff, like Youtube's algorithm showing this gem only after 6 years!

There's a good post in Agora Road's Macintosh Cafe about boredom and creativity, which has also good writing about over-access to information in nowadays internet. https://forum.agoraroad.com/index.php?threads/the-importance-of-boredom-for-creativity-and-dearth-for-innovation.5872/...

'Roamer VIP' is jungle/dnb ruffness waking you up into vigilance. Check the character and attitude of the clang-y drum part. With all the jungle vibes, there's also a well coordinated 00s neurofunk-style reese part. With all the versatility and melodiousness, this track is not only for raves...

Show the video from YT. If your short film night is 1st May, then I'm afraid that I don't have time to make subtitles for that :(

This one is like sped up garage house: Another idea worth doing more. Or what about happy hc with deep house sounds?

Also on the melodic side, there's this nice bells-melody in intro. In revival jungle you mostly hear euphoric/soothing chords - I'm also guilty in overusing them tho lol. And I love how the track samples vocal from eurodance, rather than from the usual house/rnb. Orginal one btw:

Original jungle tunes still inspires me when I make jungle tracks. With revival jungle, you kinda have formula which is followed, rather than producers just trying new things. I believe there's still room for exploration in the genre, even in the humble sine bass. The track below is good...
