With a nice stock I sometimes just add noodles and loads of nice green veg, chilli oil, soy and any shreds of meat or fish from the stock making...well nice. Could add preserved veg also.
That geeneus one is excellent and I'm glad its just him talking, resisted the idea of fancying it up, presuming there will be 18 in total which is a nice thought, right through to the present.

On a non pickled walnut tip i recently had a bowl of stilton, walnuts and cooked beetroot for lunch with a pack of oatcakes and it was just insanely tasty, one of the best marriages of flavour of recent times and so simple...tried and tested I suppose.
Dot Rotten is still a character rather than just a technical MC to me tho, it's just his character is a certain way. I think these things can be judged on re-listenability and I listen to Dot all the time at work.
So, put off by the expense of Triple Sec I'm going to make some myself! I've ordered some dried bitter orange peel from US Ebay, will report back.
Following this recipe which uses half vodka and half brandy as the base spirit but you can use just one of them...
