the old man didn't eat them, he just left them in my kitchen for me to sniff/snuff out. since had a word and he now realises the complexities of rolling field knowledge :eek: i think he must have got lucky in the past.

i decided to not to eat them as i think these suckers are the 'yellow stainer' variety. i bruised them and parts went bright yellow. they look almost identical to field mushrooms, be careful people!
