Stanley knives and cutting up vinyl

I've read that there's a techno DJ who cuts his own grooves into vinyl with a blade and plays them out. German, if my memory serves. Can anyone help me out with his name?

    Gary Gygax RIP

My youth wouldn't have been the same without D&D. There's gotta be some closet players on Dissensus... no one else get a nostalgic pang on the memory of colouring in half the numbers on a 0-9 d20?

Do Brits make the best breakfasts in the world?

Wikipedia sez: "It is very similar to black pudding, but does not include blood. Consequently, it consists of pork meat and fat, suet, bread, and oatmeal formed into the shape of a large sausage. Earlier versions (pre-1990) often had brain matter (sheep) added as a binding agent."

    Urban handshakes

Every time I meet an American acquaintance (and some English ones), we and up fumbling through some ritualised handshake type affair. It starts with a simple, firm grasp of the hand, then the other party attempts to to twist it round into some new orientation of palms and fingers. The sometimes...

    The cannabis debate

This isn't quite right either. CBD is apparently not psychoactive, but is a sedative, so the reason that cannabis with THC & CBD is less likely to cause psychotic could be because it's a sedative rather than an anti-psychotic. It does appear that CBD works a little like an atypical...

    Castro's resignation and Cuba's future

Londonistan was a term that originated in the mid-90s, if my memory serves me. From the Guardian 2005: "Londonistan" no longer rings true

    The cannabis debate

I'm sure it's already been said in this thread, but stronger stuff means you can smoke less, which is in general a good thing. Research also seems to be pointing towards the fact that some people are genetically pre-disposed to negative reactions, including psychosis and adverse memory effects...
