bleep 'n' bass -- an anachronistic term?

They were the Biorhythms comps. I love this stuff too, Nexus 21's Rhythm of Life album on Blue Chip records (89) and the Unique 3 album Jus' Unique on 10 records (90) show the transition from acid to bleep perfectly. I would love to know what happened to Rob Gordon too, this compilation 'Rob...

    good cover art thread

I'm with you there grimly, though I have to admit Trevor Jackson has talent, there's definately something of a Saville influence there. Saville once said this is his favourite cover art, which is wierd because it's mine as well.

    techno

I love that whole Speedy J sound from 97/99 which verges on industrial noise and rhythmically veers towards jungle. Surgeon and Regis, as the British Murder Boys have been getting into similar sounds in their sets of late, really pushing the boundaries of techno IMO.

    Carl Craigs recent music

Agreed, but also worth a mention is Aardvark - Cult Copy Part 2 (Carl Craig Edit) and A Wonderful Life (Epic Mix) which both have been out in the last few years.

Analord series - New from AFX

Agreed, the records are the important thing, the rest is just packaging. Anyway, the binder looks cheap and impractical I simply invested in some cardboard sleeves for 25p each and will house each record in one of those!

    Dynamix II

If you like Dynamix II then check out some of Phil Klein's (AKA Bass Junkie) music. He's the UK's foremost electro-bass producer and has recorded for Dynamix II's label as well as colaborating with Scott Weiser of the group. Other UK artists Rob Euroh (an amazing scratch DJ) and Scape One (Kurt...

Spotted these pieces in and around Sonar (Barcelona) last June. They bear some stylistic similarities to the first photos posted.
