i personally say i like 'bass music', and meaning 'nuum stuff and it's derivatives. but maybe the umbrella is too wide, as 'nuum and recent bass stuff isn't just the same... i agree that most "bass music" is cold and vibeless.

i think most ppl see it as international - 'UK' is put front of 'bass' because the music is mostly mishmash of UK styles. who knows if new wave grime instrumentals will separate to it's own genre, and mutate into something new? new producers are getting ridiculously overlooked, so is new djs it...

not that bad! maybe too much 'background' noises/melodies/drums in my tastes, but it's definitely more vibey and realer than 'post-dubstep' :)
