I heard Reaper playing some new garage (not future garage) which sounded alot like the original sound. He also bigged up Whistla and Sub FM.

unfortunately... it's great that we have this unnamed style right now, but still it's rarely really hitting the spot.

    Funky/London/UK House

thanks Benny, enjoying this! funky really is a very local scene. it's shame that it's seen as a temporary fad (or then it's just a feeling i have) 'cos it didn't got solid following globally like junge/dnb/dubstep. Also it seems funky was just used for step to post-funky/dubstep. Listening to...

It's like ravey full-on music without being boring. Check out the second last track 'Moony - The Pier'...

    what is wobble?

Wobble is kind of hardcore, but I think it's not right to compare it to '92 hardcore, as it was funky, had thousands of ideas in one track and dozens of influences from other music (being black (breakbeats and sub) and white (belgian hoovers and orchestra stabs) at the same time), whereas wobble...

Maybe you could do a piece about funky radio sets. Some new sets to download and general information what's going down.

    Funky/London/UK House

If vinyl was still the regular format, there probably would be alot of white labels to buy. Infrastructure has changed (digital dubs for 40£). It seem funky is still a very local thing although afterall we're living in internet-age!

    Jungle

Terror Danjah, D Double E & Triple Threat_Rinse FM Although not my favourite music, "rudeboy drum'n'bass" in this era has been actually interested me because most of rudeboys were moved in garage at the time. So yeah, more of this stuff please!

    Juke

Sounds like junglists starting to listen US garage or grime heads starting to listen US house (and making their own version of them). Perhaps juke heads will make their own ghettoized take on broken beat ;)

tunes that perfectly fuse jungle and happy hardcore

One thing I like alot of this era stuff is the use of timestreched breaks as melodies, which jungle abandoned in '94. One of my favourite things in jungle/hardcore. Alot of these tunes in Benny's mix.
