I'll try to chase up some of the film links. Been a long time since I have seen any Bollywood films. The last one was Lagaan which is worth a watch, not exactly arty but well filmed. Back to thread just want to post this tune. Bongotastic and mad video to boot.

I've been revisiting some older tunes recently and came accross this by Ian Pooley on his Meridian album. It's from 98 or thereabouts. Lovely tune, does any know the vocal sample ?

Ragga Jungle Dubs on Greensleeves. Not exactly early but well worth picking up for a few quid.

Just picked up an Augustus Pablo comp called Message Music on Pressure Sounds. It's a collection of his digital dubs. Really worth getting your hands on if you like this sort of stuff. Good sleeve notes as ever on Pressure Sounds releases.

There's a Prince documentary on BBC4 at 9.00. Followed by Purple Rain. and then some 80's black music from the BBC archives.

I don't have a studio but do a lot of listening on these, very comfortable and great sound. AFAIK these seem very popular with producers, DJs and soundbwoys. Had mine for 12 years and still going strong apart from replacing the cushions due to wear and tear...
