    The Death of Oink

You have to be joking... its only zero if you are using stolen software, and rely entirely upon your laptop and no other hardware, which you half-inched from PC world.

    I'm a Stereophonist

I haven't, but now you have said that I can feel a trip to Amazon pre-owned coming on...

    I'm a Stereophonist

I love stereo. I think many people don't realise just how immersive good stereo projections can be. Get the best speakers you can afford, a nice quiet room, position yourself in the centre of the two and the same distance away from them as they are from each other (equalateral triangle-type...

    The Death of Oink

Nice to see they are pouring manpower into the hardcore online crimes, rather than shutting down those kiddie porn rings or credit card fraudsters.

Good amen-driven breakcore is my weak spot, I made the mistake of thinking I would therefore like all breakcore and ended up buying things like Doormouse and Kid606 - most of which left me very cold. The whole amen rinsed sound gets put down upon as lazy, but I honestly couldnt care; you can...

    Litter

I despise dogs simply because of dog shit. Its a heartless thing to say, and I'm aware there must be plenty of dog lovers reading this, but I honestly couldn't care less if they all dropped dead of some yet-to-be-discovered dog flu tomorrow. I think its because I live on the Dorset coast and we...

    live digital music dissapointing shocker

I also think they simply do it well. Alva Noto's Xerrox release was brilliant, regardless of how original it was or wasnt. I'm happy to relax to that sort of noise ad infinitum (am I boring? probably). I can say the same about chain reaction-style dub techno, its all been done before but I still...

    live digital music dissapointing shocker

Good point. I like Raster Noton, but I can't see it as music for a live clubbing event. I use it as music for working to. Maybe you should have taken a laptop and sat facing the people up on stage, writing this thread? Hell, thats probably what they were doing, all that frantic motion behind...

    this radiohead thing then.

The excuse of most slsk users surely, "I was trying before I buy" :D

    Dubstep

Sorry I'm being a cynical bastard, but I just cringe for two reasons: First, my purely selfish hatred of Amy Whinehouse, officially endorsed release or otherwise. Second, the carrion-like picking of dubstep at existing music. Coki's 'Ruff Lovin' from Dubstep Allstars Vol.5 is another good...

    this radiohead thing then.

Forgive me for being thick, but what question do you mean? The mp3 vs. physical format / free vs. not-free debate? Its often the ONLY thing being discussed on music forums, hardly groundbreaking for internet music nerds (ie: the people reading this).

    this radiohead thing then.

The current media trend of hyping everything that signifies the death of the music industry is becoming rather dull. Lets not forget that The Smashing Pumpkins released a double CD-sized album to their fans for free on mp3 well over two years ago now. But it just wasn't the fashion back then...

    Burial "Untrue"

Is it wrong to feel like a teenager again? I have this weird feeling inside me that I haven't felt since waiting for Nirvana's In Utero.

Dubstep is now dead to me: AMY WINEHOUSE VS. MOODY BOYZ - Love Is A Losing Game (Dubstep Mixes) *awaits Moby dubstep release*

do people actually do that?? Madness. Thats the death of dubstep right there in that one statement.

    Web site traffic

I don't think what you are asking is possible without breaking some kind of data privacy rules, you are basically trying to poach information from their server. Statistics are built up from logs of IP hits to the site and the pages served to those IPs. That data belongs to the sites owners. You...

    Where have the UFOs gone?

Ah yes but Hyperdub aren't pretending to be aliens, just space monkeys.

    Where have the UFOs gone?

That has to be the worst attempt at a hoax I've ever seen... it actually makes me angry at the amount of effort put into it, yet at the same time the utterly shoddy choice of faux alien font - why not just claim klingons sent it through a stargate to us and be done with it.
