rolling back to the future garage/post-dubstep/alt-funkstep/intelli-2step etc thread

Loefah has been playing quite a few old 2-step/dubstep tracks recently which seem to fit into this dark/percussive/raw funky vibe. But yeah shame more producers haven't/aren't trying to experiment with that sound. When funky start to take off I thought it was only a matter of time before there...

Really enjoyed tonight's one, fantastic TV. Left me feeling thoroughly depressed at human beings/culture though. Regarding the point above I guess he just meant to show that Liberal attitudes however well meaning don't always help situations, which they didn't in that example (the camps meant...

    Roiling football blather

I think the younger players would show most of this older generation up, if we are playing a team which doesnt have the ability to beat Switzerland (I know they played well but still) then I think maybe we should just build for the future and forget half of the players being selected atm.

Cappello's selections seem totally baffling to me. England have great young talent atm, who definitely seem to be up to the for job in the future. Why are all these aging overrated players being relied on so much? I'd like to see people like Jack Roddwell, Kieran Gibbs, Danny Sturridge, Chris...

There's plenty of records that I have bought which were rinsed at the time when I got them. But now I'm glad I got them because they represent that moment in time. I was contemplating the other day whether I would buy Sicko Cell when its released, I think I might for this reason.

Really enjoyed that show last night and really enjoyed stuff I have seen by him before. Of course its a very narrow minded view point but I still learn a lot even if you have to obviously have to remember its a very narrow view.

The Wire, Arrested Development - Prototypes of a new type of telly?

Didn't enjoy first episode of Shadow Line, was just like some BBC writer who had seen a good HBO Show and thinking "I could have a stab at that.." had the complex, not quite sure whats going on style but not with the same depth or complexity, as well as the cast not being that consistent. Maybe...

I think Russell Brand can be funny when not showing off and being more intelligent, unfortunately thats not what he is famous for. I don't get whats so great about Rick Ross from what I have heard.

Moroccan food needs more appreciation in this thread. Anyone who has had a proper Tagine knows. Bit off the beaten track but Montenegro had some of the best food I have had, fresh seafood platters that were like no other seafood I have ever had.

^ Another game at Wembley before that. Was another of those games last night... Not sure if i can face watching football again for a bit lol. I was tearing my hair out in the second half, how Forest didn't score or get a penalty I don't know. And just to put the icing on the cake McGugan...

All i'm saying is that I have seen Loefah twice fairly recently and to say this kind of stuff doesn't work on a dancefloor really isn't true.

Blawan speaks well in that interview. I rate "Getting Me Down" btw, although it is overrated.
