I got "Goblin", overall I think it's a success. A few rubbish tunes but more hit than miss imo. Tyler is the best he's ever sounded, both in terms of production and rapping.

    Roiling football blather

Well said yeah. The conspiracy theories make Mourinho sound like he doesn't think Real can beat Barca. Last night's game was a interesting one, got the feeling Barca always could of stepped it up, in the period when they played their best they were tearing Madrid apart. Also with Carvalho's...

Been listening to this stuff today. Anti G makes some amazing stuff. Can't wait for the album now.

Some of tunes in that mix are great. Some real raw, energetic beats. Love this one.

Went and watched the mighty Forest on Saturday. Was great to see us score 5. Playoff mayhem awaits.... Premier League is getting pretty excited too!

    Dubstep

Agreed, such a shit name haha. Quality of tracks generally is awful too. Like a lot of what Youngsta plays but most of these tunes just sound like the producer's have just heard a couple of Distance and SP:MC tunes and tried to replicate them. Not well either. The dirty, twisted bassline thing...

I wonder what else is going on this week that meant the NOW was the right time. Republican's must be gutted.

    Anti-royal wedding Uncelebration

Managed to avoid all coverage, apart from a few people talking about it. Probably should of watched to remind myself how ridiculous the Monarchy is but oh well.

    Vinyl dying (for DJ's)

I think technical mixing skill does elevate a good DJ from anyone else. If everyone played vinyl, no Serato/Traktor i guess this would show up more but now all context has got lost on it, plenty of DJ's who trainwrecked vinyl mixes have gone to CDJ's and are suddenly ridiculously tight. Granted...

Agree with this, as soon as i saw the challenge the first thing i thought was there was a chance it could of actually done him some serious damage. Going in hard with studs up off the ground, even if you make little contact is asking for trouble really isn't it.

I think a thing to remember is however good they are, they are a Spanish team. Its how their league functions, for the most part. Shame cos it does put them down. Btw, not excusing them. Just saying that it's more Spanish football, than just Barca.

Agree on the comment about Man U's midfield. Xaxi, Inestia and Busquets will boss them about no trouble at all. That and the Messi factor gives me a gut feeling Barcelona may just win this year... ;)

Chef i'd expect. I dunno about anyone else using 100% vinyl though.

Oneman does some great examples of putting something in a set that you would never usually like and making it sound amazing.

    Dissensus Raw Productions

Yes this thread is right up my street. Will have sometime to upload tomorrow. Just realised I haven't uploaded anything in a good 7 months so about time to see what people think i suppose.

rolling back to the future garage/post-dubstep/alt-funkstep/intelli-2step etc thread

It is all a bit of a mush atm though, i'd argue that its very refreshing not having a linear movement. Anything that's good (in the opinion of whoever is making/playing it) goes, then as a listener I just pick the bits I like and leave the rest. I personally am not that convinced there will ever...

Can we even be really sure that there will be another definable scene? Now that the internet means we are all open to so much music/ideas/philosophies ect. I don't know if I can imagine there being such a epicenter as there has been in the past whether its detroit, croydon, chicago or whatever...

Actually totally agree with this, got carried away first listen i think. Shame cos some of those dubs are impressive.

    Vinyl dying (for DJ's)

Yeah just to clear up i don't think me or anyone else consistently watches a DJ mix for their whole set. That would be weird lol. Corpsey summed up what i meant.
