maybe he's improved... i'm like the anti we are electric crusader here. i'll be the first to admit that i am a bit of a snob

yeah that cassy track is top. scottish crowds are ok -- subclub is great, amazing vibe in that place. we are electric is shit -- the resident djs are awful. i've had a good time there for guests before but it's definitely been in spite of the crowd, who i've noticed tend to react the most to...

no, you're quite right, I'm sure at most 5-10 people in We Are Electric know (or care) what Heater is, it's that type of place

and I love melody, summer tunes, slightly cheesey house music etc -- my problem is with Heater itself being shit than jolly tunes! my summer jam came out about the same time as Heater but is a reissue from 1996. side A on this: http://hardwax.com/54426/ now that's good times in a tune... not a...

the bits i've heard from the new melchior in zip's recent sets have been outstanding too

i think you could play both sides out providing it was day number two of clubbing (aka forgiving i suppose). 'waiting 4 a way' right as the shutters open at panoramabar would be pretty perfect. (i imagine you're meant to layer something underneath the sections without the melody?)

it's not hard to understand the Heater haters. it's a hilariously shit novelty track. I can understand people who like it...

I really can't stand Heater. I still can't get it out of my head though.

that's the 'original' one. which got its debut at panoramabar, not DC10 ;)

the Rose Rouge thing is confusing. there are two versions available on peer to peer, the first of which is the 'original' Rhadoo re-edit (with the jazzy snares and endlessly repeating "I want you to get together"). that's in Villalobos' Harry Klein set from earlier in the year... (March). but...

that record was on Juno earlier in the week. He does have something coming out on Cadenza. The three Romanians (Raresh, Pedro (aka Petre) and Rhadoo) make an amazing DJ team. lots of long, long sets out there to dl, they have some incredible (old) records. hope someone wises up and brings them...

hm that Villalobos remix is fairly immaculate actually. he played it last at Fabric early on in the year and hearing it through that system REALLY opened it up.

interesting article. confirms a lot of my thoughts about him (esp the whole DJ set as extended clit tease rather than bang bang bang bang, to filth up his metaphor a little). ps I've done my fair share of technical support, and I'm not sure what operating manual could fix that NERD edit

Magneta: Tobi Neumann I think? (or was that the first one). the backing track isn't offensive per se, just seems like a lazy release to me. I'd rather just nick his idea of the Sosa song and play it over a track of my own choice. different folks, etc though. Do you have the text of the Spanish...

and the backing track is definitely substandard compared to the new Perlon 12", which is great I think. Not quite as good as Bomberos/Octogonal, but that was nearly two and a half years ago now, and is definitely his best SOLO 12 where I'ms at. (anybody else think he's at his best with a...

ha, I (and I'm sure many others) made that point re Fizheuer long before Sherburne wrote that Pitchfork review. Loved it being released for the same reasons you did (reliving the joy etc). FDO -- he obviously just picked one of his tracks off the cutting room floor and stuck the vocal over the...
