holy crap... just got this in the mail.. the edits in this are insane! check the bounty killer version (unimaginatively named 'the baddest'... an anti-filesharing ploy? haha) ... dj/rupture like noise bursts, weird almost out of time delay cuts, enduser like hip hop breakdowns.. amazing!

im using renoise for my main program now... so much so that i (gasp) bought the software. taking tracking to a new level really... for me. used to be a big Buzz nut as well, but seriously, a few things turned me over to renoise 1. noise bursts. huge, squeely, unexplainable noise bursts. yuck...

agreed... i cant really see this working without a middleman somehow in london . . a london something. that said, i just blew this weeks pay on a big juno/independance order. . .ouch!

how would one go about acquirng wholesale grime though? since (from what i've observed) its mostly white labels... i guess it means contacting people directly.. difficult without a hookup? im quite interested in this actually.. theres definitely a hunger for this kinda music in aus i think...

i wonder why tracking didnt take off in the grime community like it totally dominated the breakcore scene? freeware, sampler, mechanical interface... lots of the new ones can do vst as well... Virgo - Monster = sample based dubstep/grime 4 sure

i noticed that they were using logic in the risky roadz extras . . . but i mean, would grime sound the way it does if for example, the fruity loops preset soundbanks were accoustic drums and the preset tempo was 100bpm?

i was thinking about this in the car this monring.. how many of the signiture 'grime' sounds were born out of the fruity loops preset sounds? 808 kicks and claps, that cowbell sound, the bass sounds... sure they've progressed and gotten bigger, more distorted, more interesting enveloping etc...
