i may have been a bit harsh on them last night...
but really they were the last thing i wanted to hear after a getting a bit too mashed for a friends birthday on a Monday night...
I won't listen to them ever again if i can help it(but I know thats gonna be impossible at this point)
p.s...
This music makes me want to kill myself...
I really should just ignore them but I just had to endure a drunk car ride home with this fucking album of utter worthless dreck and I needed to drunkely vent, been awhile since music has made me so angry...
i don't think i can be friends with people...
Yet another super-surreal creation from the UAE...
http://bldgblog.blogspot.com/2008/01/lyons-dubai.html
i guess the main question is how do you prevent this from being anything other than a mega-sized Disney type replication...
...not that Dubai doesn't already seem like one seriously...
I kind of thought he went bat-shit crazy at the end...
I often like what he has to say but he was so wound up that it probably could do him some good to get some fresh air...
This is a different Shining Sick Boy...
there's this Shining who we are talking about and are on the more normal side of things and have pictures of puppy dogs on their site...
and then this Shining...
Totally agree with you about those cringe-worthy interludes, especially the one thats on there twice for some reason?! But yea the first three songs on the album are pretty unfuckwithable(the flute breakdown on the the first song just makes me smile) and Psalm is indeed fucking wonderful. Really...
this is some sweet news

One of the most forward thinking tunes in ages on the most forward thinking label around.
WOEBOT and dissensus have been responsible for shaping my listening more than anything else the past couple of years.
Matt you'll sorely be missed, thanks for everything and good luck.
I'm from Boston so Converge shows were always an event for me and my friends. They're a great group of guys with some serious talent.
and yea Jane Doe is epic although i haven't listened to it in a couple of years.
