    There is a sort of neoliberal-friendly pseudo-enlightenment to be found here. Maximizing every opportunity, being robustly present as much as you can. Its like a sort of gracious libidinization of productiveness.

    Thats why I think mindfulness, as a practice, is so conducive to culturally liberal professionalism. Being good at being here is a character asset, no? Being good at being there just makes you difficult to work with. edit: from a perspective of professionalism, that is.
