agreed - it wont be on the internet, thats why I asked if funky has a regular weekly night? somewhere that the sound can incubate and grow, it doesnt look like funky has that yet? like FWD was for dubstep and Blue note was etc

    Dubstep

I love old hardcore at 150, I think that gives me all that I want sometimes, great breaks, samples, optimistic synths & rude bass - it has such an energy & optimism I would like to see what modern producers could do at 150, that Pinch thing is pretty cool did anyone hear about the supposed...

does funky have a weekly/regular night to incubate the sound? (Like FWD/PP was for dubstep?) I am not aware of one (but I dont go raving in Ilford much) I think that is a big draw for a scene

But quite a strong one on the music we are discussing in this thread Imagine Shantie or someone chatting over Black Sun on a set! I would actually like to hear that

    Jungle

yeah that's what I thought too, I didnt mean a really obvious Brandy/RnB sample, just vox samples in general? say if you used a sample from an old sci-fi film - what are the chances of being prosecuted?

    Jungle

I miss blatant samples (esp vocals) in music - sometimes they really help a track

I loved "NY is killing me'' and some of the other stuff he has done - he certainly seems to take more risks than some other 'new' producers, I would rather listen to his stuff than Mount Kimbie or (most of) James Blake's stuff Far Nearer is alright - but doesnt hold the weight of the hype, I...
