    Mercury Prize 2010

PJ Harvey's album received incredibly glowing reviews from critics, think she will win. her or Adele (who I cannot stand. think it's the contrived 'regular person' image).

    classic directors/films you dont get

Solaris is one of my favourite films, I usually try to watch it once every month or two. That said, sometimes when I watch it, I do start nodding off - I suppose it depends on the mindset / how tired I am atm. ... Don't think it has been assigned 'classic' status (yet?), but I really did not...

rolling back to the future garage/post-dubstep/alt-funkstep/intelli-2step etc thread

tbh, I can't think of too many producers who stay anonymous in the way that Burial did. ok, SBTRKT wears a mask...so does Zomby (he's not p*st-dubstep, tho...is he?). who else, though? News of the World phone hacking scandal

Paul Hayward is a horrible, horrible writer, though. he just re-hashes the same trite shit about big clubs all the time. so do most of the others who champion The Best League In the World (Williams, the one who supports Everton, think there's one or two more). that said, the Fiver writers...

    Kompakt

They had a pretty good year in 2010. Ewan Pearson's mix 'We Are Proud of Our Choices' Thomas Fehlmann's 'Gute Luft' LP Walls - s/t LP and the Superpitcher album had some nice moments, too.

http://liberalconspiracy.org/2011/06/27/michael-gove-warns-teachers-but-he-also-went-on-strike/ does the forum have word filters enabled? if so, perhaps 'goldfish-faced cunt' (tm Mr. Tea) would be appropriate for Gove?
