same situation here, so easy to become cynical. politicians have always been spin doctors, but the hypocrisy seems to be so blatant now. in a post-truth world, why bother to hide it, since there doesn't seem to be any meaningful pushback or consequences. endless articles expose the lying and hypocrisy yet they continue to get elected/re-elected/elevated.
