finally finished this and sent off to printer... the 20 page booklet was a small nightmare... praying to Allah that there were no mistakes!!!

thanks babs! that is the cover. kind of a understatement and reversal: normal life on the cover, and you open up and it's PARTY!!!!

and the label has no professional photographer or anything. so these are just what the one dude snapped while he was over there licensing tracks and hanging out... if we had bigger budget it might look completely different, but i think we did OK with what we got...

thanks Leo! i am designing, etc., for Out Here Records, and will be doing some shows with them soon... and they are flying a couple of artists from this compilation out in July for a proper release party in Berlin

looks great! Just on the off-chance you know anything about the track by "994 Crew" they released on the African Rebel Music album? Been trying to find more stuff by them or anyone affiliated with them for ages and havnt found anything so far.

good review! shite newspaper (it's the one that's free on the Tube), but their arts coverage is surprisingly good.

i do hope this thing brings the label some good publicity -- timing is right, both short term: this release coinciding with the games, and long term: europe is ready for modern African sounds...

that review in metro might just do a lot, given the number of people who casually read it every day. Plus it was cited in the 'best of the month' this morning.

From what they say about the label, they'd be likely to review anything from them again - I'd advise the publicity guy/gal to send them a copy of whatever their next release is.
