the best world cup ever

Unfortunately, the crapness of the Jabulani means that this tournament can't be any better than bottom quartile - it's as if they've given the world's best snooker players walking sticks to cue off with.

Unless we're talking entertainment value, in which case it might scrape into the top half.

of course i'm talking entertainment value, and also in hyperbole after a great game. but there are some absolute classics on the cards here...

Yeah, am looking forward to Argentina - Germany tomorrow. Has two candidates for player of the tournament: Muller and Messi.

The poor quality ball leads me to imagine what might have been: more consistent passing, fewer ridiculous goalkeeping errors, fewer unintended/intended-but-unfair knuckle-ball style shots (see Forlan's fk this evening), fewer goal kicks going the whole length of the pitch, a greater number of free-kick goals and shots on-target. Every game provides further evidence for the prosecution.

2 great matches. Felt horrible for big Asamoah Gyan, so gutting. Thought they were the better side for most of the game too. Would have been great to have had them in the semis. Netherlands Uruguay will be quality. I agree it's been an extremely entertaining world cup. I think the jubilanis significance is overplayed. It's a ball at the end of the day.

And yes! Brazil out in the quarters!! Hahaha, eat that Dunga.
