I don't know how many dissensi follow the NFL, but NFL Films produces some good footage. Here're the shots of the season 2010:

There's been quite an effort to reduce the exposure to head trauma in recent seasons. Still, there was a player (Chris Henry) who died in a car accident who's brain displayed a type of scarring which can only come from repeated head trauma and he was only 25. But come on, rugby? boxing? MMA? ice hockey?

Thing I find nuts about the NFL is that it's a model of fair competition, in the way that draft picks are organised etc. If only America extended that principle politically to the rest of the world...
