Playing people online is so infuriating when you've been learning against the bot. The bot is always rational (even it's mistakes are rational). Human opponents (at least at my worm level) immediately bring the queen out and start drunken mastering me to death.

i think that kind of playing is good practice.
Deploying the queen in the development stage, once learned to negate (like the scholars mate) is a huge step. I think you will find it’s going to get easier and easier to just trap the queen by not panicking & continually
Developing. When done thoughtfully your opponent can put you five moves ahead by just threatening/chasing the queen around.

I used to play with this kid who beat me like five times straight. I noticed he relied heavily on his knights. Just for the he’ll of it I tried just exchanging my bishops for his knights.
He never beat me again afterward.
