Locally produced stuff - ie "Made in England"

This should maybe go in the clothes thread (sic), but I admire companies (often small) that still MAKE stuff in their own country. I guess if you are German that's not much of an issue, but back home in Norway (Helly Hansen and Norønna "Made in China") and here in the UK (Burberry "Made in China", Dyson etc) more and more of everyday goods are made abroad (as in the US: where Levi's ironically sell a premium collection made in the US http://us.levi.com/product/index.jsp?productId=10952143&cp=3146842.4305630.11326985).

Just discovered this British company http://www.cherchbi.com/ that makes (expensive though) bags out of wool from the Herdwyck sheep

and I like the approach of a company like Brompton (foldable bikes) who refuse to "outsource", but rather stay small and continue to produce bikes in West London http://www.brompton.co.uk/page.asp?p=3088
