In a post-Qanon and/or Omicron surge, there’s room for sugary and salty ct’s. Neither are good for your health if you overdo them, despite being (almost) fun. Distinguishing plots from rumour or gossip requires source criticism. What do you do if the source material is lacking, or compromised?

Add the generalised information overload supporting the internet and some people’s use of it researching. A witches’ sabbath is probably less of a concern today than, say, in the 1600’s but if you wanted to persecute an individual or group, chances are there’s a ct for such a job

human beings used to be able to stay up 24 hours a day. Sleeping was an enjoyable but unnecessary pastime, more like taking hallucinogenics, just something we did to access dreams and enlighten ourselves. With the coming of modernity the government created electric lights by accident and realized that exposure induced the need to sleep, and that this new biological need made the population easier to control, which was top of mind due to the Russian Revolution. There's a community on reddit called #nolight where people go through light withdrawal and then they never need to sleep, you can read the testimonials, it's really something
