THe problem I have is that there are so many wonderful little aphorisms that succintly sum up how one should their life, but they are always contradictory.

This is very true.

I would say what is best in life is:

-drinking
-eating
-cooking stuff with fire

sex is also pretty choice

All of those things are great only in that they are conversations (even if conversations with "inanimanite" things)
