Funny you should say that; I've been looking for a reasonably priced portable cassette player. So far, my garage sale searchs have been in vain.

So on the topic of tapes, can anyone recommend a decent tape deck I should look out for? bought two cheap second hand NAD ones in the past year but neither worked...

I bought this about eight years ago and it still works fine. And barring the excessive postage it's probably around £100 cheaper than the RRP back then. Marantz is a good make

So I got my tape. I've been on holiday and now I have that 'oh fuck I'm back at work and my inbox is full of bullshit' but at least I have a new tape. It came in a sweetie wrapper and is painted green on one side and red on the other

Now I think about it £15 postage seems about right given that it's too big for Royal Mail, at least they offer it for postage.

Yes, they should be coming fast and furious now. Anybody who sent a tape should be getting one back in the mail very soon. If you get a tape, you have to write a review. Once you've gotten your tape, send me a PM. I'm trying to stagger the reviews, so I'll reply with the blog deets and a deadline for your review (although, to be fair, it's more of a suggestion than an actual drop-dead-date).

I've got a photo of the tape as well so we can have a bit of fun trying to wrap IMG tags round Blogspots no doubt tricky interface.
