Well yeah, most people in Europe don't have an unambiguously pro-refugee/migrant view like you. So if the EU ceases to exist at some point, it'll be because a critical mass of countries have elected governments led by right-populist parties that criticise it for being much too open to migrants, not too hostile to them.

Did it, though? The latest polls, even after Trump's guilty verdict, are still showing him and Biden neck and neck, which, given the 'shy Trump voter' phenomenon and the inbuilt pro-Relublican bias in the electoral college system, means Trump is very likely to win in November.

Yeah, it is a big risk, but I can't see his position getting any stronger over time and springing an election on her might catch her off guard.
