Did you see Marco Rubio talking on twitter about a German Dam that exploded in Venezuela? He got a reply from the journalist who wrote about it explaining that it was a transformer and nothing to do with Germany or blocking a river and that he'd got mixed up somehow.... the journalist who replied was called German Dam.

Rubio reportedly has someone shadowing his every move and reporting back to Trump. The MAGA lot supposedly don't like or trust him.

He's now claiming that the proposed boycott of Tesla is "illegal."

According to what law, I'm not sure.

Judge has ordered DOGE to release documents about what they've cut etc cos of the way they keep describing Musk's job differently in an attempt to make it sound less illegal. Will it happen? Who knows.

But the main thing fir me is you could see how happy the Guardian were when they got the chance to show they they knew how to correctly pluralistic attorney general. Can't come up often.

Chutkan said in her 14-page decision that she was allowing the state attorneys general to obtain documents from Musk to clarify the scope of his authority, which would inform whether he has been operating unconstitutionally to the extent that Doge’s activities should be halted.

Starrting all these fights and then crying when they fight back.... I thought that Canada didn't have anything the US needed anyway. Also, didn't he make the deal that he's complaining about here?
Interesting that electricity is apparently something that affects the lives of innocent people, but healthcare isn't. Or overseas aid that people in dirt-poor countries depend on. Etc.

I didn't even realise Trump did a malicious executive order targeting the legal firm Perkins-Cole - they worked for Hilary at one point and that's where that lawyer (Marc Elias that's it) who won like fifty suits against Trump after the election in 2020 works. So he did an executive order to remove their security clearance (which a president can do) and a load of other childish stuff just attacking them which he absolutely can't and which has just been blocked by a judge with some very scathing words about its shameless unconstitutionality.

Donald Trump is starting off his morning by doing something he’s done quite often, which is threaten tariffs on major US trading partners.
The latest salvo is aimed at the European Union and their alcoholic beverage industry, particularly France and its world-renowned vineyards. Trump says he’ll put tariffs on what the bloc exports to the United States, after the EU yesterday imposed their own levies on American whiskey in retaliation for Trump’s tariffs on imports of aluminum and steel.

This is like little kids arguing... he hit me so i hit him so he hit me. Two hundred percent tariffs on EU wines he's talking about.... why change a losing formula I guess.

The European Union, one of the most hostile and abusive taxing and tariffing authorities in the World, which was formed for the sole purpose of taking advantage of the United States, has just put a nasty 50% Tariff on Whisky. If this Tariff is not removed immediately, the U.S. will shortly place a 200% Tariff on all WINES, CHAMPAGNES, & ALCOHOLIC PRODUCTS COMING OUT OF FRANCE AND OTHER E.U. REPRESENTED COUNTRIES. This will be great for the Wine and Champagne businesses in the U.S.

Actually if it's from the US I think you'll find it's sparkling wine.... and was that really the entire reason for the creation of the EU? I thought people such as Churchill had some crazy ideas about it preventing war in Europe or something but that was obviously just smoke and mirrors.

Meanwhile, an official tasked with implementing Donald Trump’s government downsizing effort appears to be posting on Instagram during work hours, the Guardian’s Martin Pengelly reports:
The chief spokesperson for the agency overseeing mass firings as Donald Trump and Elon Musk slash the federal workforce used her office to record fashion influencer videos even as thousands of workers were losing their jobs.
McLaurine Pinover, communications director at the US office of personnel management (OPM), posted several Instagram videos during business hours in which she posed in different outfits, CNN reported.
One video was posted on 13 February, the day OPM reportedly directed several agencies to lay off thousands of employees with probationary status, including about 20 people on Pinover’s own team.
Pinover has issued numerous statements backing moves to fire federal workers, including describing a controversial directive for all workers to list five things they achieve each week as “a commitment to an efficient and accountable federal workforce”.

DOGE have finally identified some real waste to cut.

Judge orders Trump administration to reinstate most fired probationary staff

Ruling by California judge applies to thousands of employees dismissed from six federal agencies
A federal judge in California granted a preliminary injunction to reinstate thousands of fired probationary workers at federal agencies as part of a lawsuit filed by the American Federation of Government Employees.
The ruling by the judge William H Alsup in the US district court for the northern district of California applies to fired probationary employees at the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Agriculture, Department of Energy, Department of the Interior and the Department of the Treasury.
In an earlier ruling, Alsup said on 27 February that the firing of probationary employees was illegal because the office of personnel management had no authority to order it.

Judges are the only ones representing the rule of law at the moment... I guess the president can't just come in and start firing ones he doesn't like as he did with the other potentially problematic roles. I wouldn't be surprised if there are some impeachments in the near future though....

O wonder what spiritual advice he passed on to Trump.

JUST IN: Texas megachurch pastor and former Trump spiritual advisor Robert Morris has been indicted for molesting a 12-year-old girl.

I guess not that surprising given that...

As I (Seth Ambramso) reported in my book PROOF OF CRUELTY (2024), Trump has more friends who are pedophiles, sex traffickers, and human traffickers than *anyone reading this will ever meet in their entire lifetime*.
