Reads like an even-handed overview. One thing I'd add is that, although the Trump admin is brusque and likes creating volatile situations, they are not hawks so that is a welcome limit to their breaking things.

Am interested to see to what extent trump can defy the markets if they move decisively against him.
It happened with truss and she has the same first three letters of her name which could prove to be significant.
Brexit was basically fine, no major disruption there so we never had to backtrack. Maybe tarrifs will be a similar storm in a teacup

Fwiw he seems to be starting to look and sound genuinely decrepit, don’t mean the weight but a slight frailty wobble to the voice and not an obvious dementia but a micro-hesitancy when public speaking is present and if it gets worse it’ll become obvious to anyone

An experimentalist excitedly rushes into his theorist colleague's office and shows him a print-out of his latest results. The theorist looks at the graph, strokes his chin for a moment, then says "Hmm, yes, this peak here is just what you'd expect as a result of the second-order Bohr resonance of the..." when the experimentalist cuts in with "Oh, sorry, I've given to you upside-down."
So the theorist rotates the paper, thinks a bit more, then says "Ahh, well now, this big trough here is obviously due to an enhanced absorption of the..."
