firefinga, these lists are very interesting and are obviously a labour of love, but are you actually going to submit a ballot? if not, what's the point?
I sympathise with FF cos I've got that obsessive compulsive urge to go through every single jungle release in 1993/4/5 in order to make the perfect list. It's just that in this case I have decided I'm too lazy to do this.
It's amazing just how much great stuff this scene was able to put out in it's prime.![]()
are there some cd compilations that do a good job in collecting this cool stuff? omni trio "deepest cut" (titled "music for the next millennium" in the states) is a good one, also suburban bass "base in your face" and sub bass "a history of hardcore" part 1 and 2.
any others come to mind?
Probably don't have time to get my ballot in today, but to be honest I would probably only muddy the waters with my lack of expertise. If I don't manage to do it on time I'll post my top 50 here, an occasion for baited breath on the part of you all, I'm sure.
I'd love to see the top 50 jungle tunes ever in the opinion of, say, Randall, or Goldie.
Disappointed at the lack of support for this monster.
