I prefer bart man's formulation. psychedelic is either womb tranquility or cognitive obliteration through overstimulation. k-punk did not hugely value the former.

there's music which uses particular techniques to create depth in the spatial sense eg dub

some deep house as well. goes right into the depths of the functional disco track.



Drexciya's aquatic mythology quite interesting in this regard.

sunship made the best poppy garage. this is essentially an avant-electro tune. huge pinging bassline that was only resurrected by the Dutch a few years later.
