i was the same when i was young. some people are born being able to drink loads but the rest of us have to practice.

I don't drink very often these days and when I do I don't drink a lot. I did have a period in my early 20s where me and a mate would go through about twenty each and stay up all night at his, but even the thought of that makes me feel ill now.

You'd drink 20 beers each?!!!

My mates basically bullied me into drinking. I just did pills and smoked weed at first and they said it was weird and kept making me drink cider and beers with them.
this is another thing we all share here. no strength of character at all just dragged along by other people. no sense of self. just flotsam and jetsum.

When you drink like that you don't even feel pissed after a while. I'd just feel lethargic and keep putting them away until they were gone then stagger home at like 8am. The first crate would be great then we'd debate opening another for about five mins and just do it for the sake of it.

just loads of really naive children easily led, impressionable, gentle, could of maybe turned into really beaitful people had we not been surrounded by vicious morons
This was very stark at one time. Being 16 or 17 in my unremarkable East Midlands town, "going out" was simply getting drunk and smoking 100 B&H, then on to some shit jive bunny club, maybe a snog and some fingering, definitely a fight or a chase. It was shit, and everybody dressed like shit and stank of Blue Stratos.

Then a miracle happened.

For about 5 years max, then back to the booze and fags.
