sort of amazing to be this good. for a ten year old girl doing romeo and juliet at school. 3 minutes work. no thinking just effortless. awe-inspiring.
will probably change her life.

for a long time me and edmund blithely assumed we were the most successful typewriter poets but then we realised we weren't even the most successful in our city. this has 3000 likes. my one has 11 likes. olivia poetess gets all the plum gigs and has over 100,000 followers on instagram.

do you think she has a better spot? she seems to be in some sort of park?

no. i think shes younger, better looking, more ambitious, understands social media.

our downfall might be our lack of ambition and our lack of vision. we've been content to live hand to mouth. we're like dioneges we just wanted our shaft of sunlight.

i thought about that as well but i think both of you are charismatic enough for instagram but it does seem as if she is "marketing" herself better yes. like she has a camera on a tripod behind her i'm assuming and people walk into her frame, probably they even take several takes to get the perfect video. dunno, also makes it look a bit too orchestrated and fake.

yeah we wouldnt be willing to do that. im not sure it would work for us in any case. though it's massively successful for her. i'd imagine she'd be making close to 100k a year.

i would say im objectively the greatest in the universe but im a bit scared that my humility might be the end of me.

we're hobbled by trying to run a busienss with a generation x mindset suspicious of commercialisation and fearful of selling out and we're competing with people who have no neuroses about that. capitalist realist generation. desires aligned with their conscience. frictionless endevaour.

in some respects i think shes been good for business. a lot of people say ive seen this on tiktok/instagram nowadays. they havent seen me. they've seen the set up.
