I've definitely got it as a PDF scan but I can't find it, sorry. If I do find it, I'll message you. What's good about it, in comparison to the bigger zone book, is that it's got that fresh breezy feel to it, cos it's focused on one thing and is maybe before they codified the whole thing. But the big book is good too and you can probably get a PDF of that.

I imagine they are doing a case on the hospital thing right now.

It helps if you manage to pair fun with difficulty, if you can make the challenge enjoyable on some level. I tried reading Kode9's book when it came out and it was so dry that there was nothing compelling me to put the effort in.

this is going to sound ridiculous obviously but I was at a bad rooftop bar after a film premiere with the director and cast chatting to a lecturer in sound studies and she said the kode9 book was a big deal in the field. she had absolutely no idea about the kode9 music side of things. I'm always a bit surprised that all these things I read about on blogs etc fifteen years ago have actually had some kind of influence. it makes it totally transparent and real that all this stuff is just people, if you know what I mean. these little trails of influence that last decades into the future.
