Where’s the mixcloud catalog?
This hadn't occurred to me before—now we live in the era of YouTube tutorials. Hence (I guess) the professionalism of drill beats. Cleaner sounding, heavier hitting, better in cars and clubs... but less charming and anarchic. Nobody makes anything which makes you think "you're not supposed to do that!'
* Not to shit on drill beats at all (or grime beats for that matter), in actual fact I find the production level in uk rap now amazingly high. But on a *beats* level there's none of that charming slight amateurishness that you had in grime.
I just listened through Maxinquaye and still don't really get it. It's got a cool atmosphere, some nice production, but it's just a bit naff to my ears. The trip-hop thing in general feels that way to me - Portishead, Massive Attack. There's always something that stops me properly getting into it.

We'll get properly cunted so youre ready for when the lads try and leave you stranded vomitting drunk halfway to francea lot of you won't be aware of the existence of mvuent but hes been an active member of the board for some time now and he is coming to the uk on the 1st of september confirmed. hes never been drunk or done drugs or anything sexual in his life before so hes quite naive and exploitable and if you want to do bad things to him sign up here. also if you want to let him sleep in your cupboard or cellar then say so. let me know if theres anyone i should add to this group who might be interested in doing weird things to him.
