In the very first sentence he's given himself away as one of these timewasters who think the only two outcomes of a covid-19 infection are that you either die or fairly quickly make a full recovery.

A year and a half after the arrival of Virus, some may have started wondering why the usually unscrupulous ruling elites decided to freeze the global profit-making machine in the face of a pathogen that targets almost exclusively the unproductive (over 80s).

And even if you look only at the bare death rate, he's massively behind the times. In India close to half the people dying from it are under 60, never mind 80.

In any case, the idea that "the global profit-making machine" has been "frozen" is laughable. It's chuntering on quite nicely and some of the largest companies (Amazon, anyone?) have made record profits.
