my reoccurring question, which you never answer: what's the benefit to business or government to have everyone locked down in their homes, restricted from being out shopping and socializing and content, or to have them simply unemployed? why would they want a sharp decline in tax revenue due to reduced sales tax collection? why would they want overburdened hospitals, exhausted doctors and nurses, unnecessary deaths and an increasingly frustrated populous?
Control is an end in itself for entitled psychopaths. Tax is control, but they've found out it's not as effective as physical control. The terrorism schtick wasn't working as well and in fact ran counter to the celebrate diversity control plan, so they had to move over to this. Tax revenue is meaningless in a fiat monetary system where printer go brrrrr. Tax loses value as money is printed like everything else. This is the result of the original moral hazard when govts decided to bail out banks, govts lost their way and legitimacy at that point and so terrible atrocities like lockdown are now acceptable. they see real jobs and economic activity as trivial (even harmful when they account for environmental costs) and they'll do anything to stay in control and believe they have the economic side covered through modern monetarism. Not investment advice.
