She is meant to be quite sexy in the books, I think, within the limits of their being kids' books. Glamorous, well dressed. Good at manipulating men.

Regarding Curtis's political views- by most discernible measures he's a lefty but makes it a point of emphasis to avoid categorazation as such and likewise sees his self prescribed identity as an nonpartisan libertarian a point of pride. I'm not interested in whatever Curtis's true categorization may be, but I feel like I see that sentiment echoed alot by his age group- somewhere around gen X. Is that right? I can't think of many genuine examples of "sexy evil" as I think being evil takes a toll, as Roald Dahl says in The Twits:
