I get it about the latter two, but Pablo is just the Spanish version of Paul, isn't it? I mean is it inherently "Latinx" as opposed to just Spanish?
Or is it a reference to a particular housing project in a particular Latin American city, or something like that?
Lol. I was just wondering if it had some significance beyond the name.well feel free to use it now I guess as he isn’t.![]()
seriously, this is part of the reason why people make fun of/dislike liberals. asinine.
Project Pablo, Joey Negro and The Black Madonna are terrible terrible DJ names for white people.
The language they use and the Maoist self-criticism is a bit much, but they did the right thing changing them.
I think this is a sort of secular, Western version of that.
Absolutely.
Not reeeaally - whataboutism/whataboutery is when you can't let anyone mention the Russian-backed civil war in Syria without saying "But what about the Western-backed civil war in Yemen?" or vice-versa.Isn't that what debate club calls whataboutism?

John's leapt in with an "anti-fascism is the real fascism!" cartoon, even though no-one here is saying that.
Fair. I suppose the impulses that lead to religion haven't gone away just because most of Europe is now more or less secular. (Bit more complicated in America, where a far bigger %age of people are still practising Christians, although I expect most progressive whites who are going to be receptive to anti-racism are probably not religious.)Which can be seen in both a psychosexual way and in a religious way (forgive me father for I have sinned).
I don't think it is a new religion but I do think that a great deal of our thoughts actions beliefs have a religious component or can be seen in a religious way just S our actions have a sexual component or can be seen in a sexual way.
I like to think it goes without saying that the latter is an immeasurably worse problem. And yes, I see what you mean about it being whataboutery.I thought he was saying why you talk about the hysteria of the left when Trumps goons are dressed in camo and kidnapping protestors in Portland?
I think it's better described as being anti-(anti-fascism is the real fascism) isn't it?John's leapt in with an "anti-fascism is the real fascism!" cartoon, even though no-one here is saying that.
